EMC Security Awarded the 2009 Life Safety Award

EMC Security was nationally recognized by First Alert Professional for superior commitment to protecting the communities it serves. The award was presented to EMC Security at the annual First Alert convention in November. “We are extremely proud to have been recognized for our efforts to protect our customers and their property,” said Michael Morton, sales manager at EMC Security.

This is not the first time EMC Security has been recognized for its role in protecting the community. In 2008, an EMC Security employee received accolades from law enforcement and fire & rescue personnel for his swift action to aid a motorist with a vehicle fire. “He acted brilliantly to recognize the situation was dire and used the fire extinguisher in his EMC Security vehicle to prevent a disaster,” said James Collins, operations manager at EMC Security.

Then on July 4, 2009 an EMC Security employee came to the rescue of drowning infant at Lake Lanier. “His heroic actions undoubtedly saved the baby’s life. The responsibility EMC Security feels for protecting this community is shared throughout our organization as is evident by the actions of our employees,” Morton said.

Investigative Reporter Dale Cardwell Endorses EMC Security

Former WSB investigative reporter Dale Cardwell chose to endorse EMC Security as the most reputable, reliable, and customer friendly security company in Atlanta.  After researching many local, regional and national security companies Dale determined EMC Security the clear winner.  Dale says, “I recommend EMC Security, not only because of price, but because this locally monitored and customer owned cooperative, places your complete satisfaction ahead of profits. My analysis shows EMC Security delivers what it promises.”

“Dale spent more than 25 years investigating businesses, and while we’re not surprised to have been selected as Atlanta’s best, we are certainly honored,” said EMC Security president Vince Raia.

EMC Security Named Suwanee Gateway Business of the Month

EMC Security, owned by the electric utility companies of Jackson EMC, Walton EMC and GreyStone Power, has been named Suwanee Gateway Business of the Month for October. EMC relocated its home office to Suwanee in the first quarter of this year and wasted no time in reaching out to the community. They have become members of the Gateway PACT as well as the Gateway Business Alliance. With the opening of their new monitoring center, by the end of the year EMC will increase its staff by 30 percent, bringing new jobs to Suwanee.
